Skin problems can be painful, can lead to other medical conditions, and can be contagious to other animals. The licensee must have this dog examined and treated by a licensed veterinarian. The puppies had been whelped in this enclosure which had the door propped open at all times, allowing the female Bulldog to leave the enclosure at will and allowing the two house dogs the ability to enter the primary enclosure and contact the puppies. Contact with dogs other than the dam can result in injury to the puppies. Excessive weeds and grass can harbor pests such rodents, snakes, and external parasites. The licensee must maintain an area around all enclosures that is free of excessive weeds, grass, and brush. TO BE CORRECTED BY AUGUST 20, 2014. The inspection and the exit briefing were conducted with the licensee. An inspector from the Missouri Department of Agriculture was also present. |
