40132 09f08475f5eb49d7 3.15(b)   0 Primary enclosures used to transport live dogs and cats. The veterinary necropsy report for the dog found deceased at the end of a 5-day consigned transport indicated that the “patient was emaciated and covered with dirt and urine.” Not maintaining adequate cleanliness during transportation can result in soiling of the dog. The regulations state that if the dog is in transit for more than 24 hours, the enclosure must be cleaned and any litter replaced, to prevent the soiling of the dog by body waste.
