Young puppies under 16 weeks old are not well socialized or accustomed to the dynamics of competing for food or water with other dogs and my not be able to fend for themselves against aggressive or dominant adult dogs. Puppies under 16 weeks (4 months) of age may not be housed in the same primary enclosure with adult dogs, other than the dam or foster. The licensee must house the puppy in a separate enclosure from the adults. The licensee must ensure that all dogs housed together are compatible at all times.
