The licensee described an abdominal wound with evisceration. The licensee did not seek veterinary attention for the doe, and stated that the wound appeared to close over. Approximately five days later he found the doe dead. This doe likely suffered extreme pain and distress over the five day period before its death. The licensee must promptly convey timely and accurate health information to the attending veterinarian so that appropriate medical care can be rendered and suffering can be alleviated. |
