***During the inspection, the licensee stated to the Veterinary Medical Officer that she had recently, within a couple days, preventatively dewormed the kittens (6 animals) using Nemex-2. The licensee could not supply any prescriptions or directions on medication usage from the AV nor was the usage detailed in the program of veterinary care. Injuries and diseases that are not treated properly (as directed by a veterinarian or detailed in the program of veterinary care) may be painful and can lead to prolonged suffering, infection, and other veterinary care problems. The licensee must use appropriate methods to prevent, control, diagnose, and treat diseases and injuries. All medications used by the licensee in regulated animals, must have detailed directions regarding their usage, from a veterinarian. To be corrected by 10/14/15.
