This person sold a porcupine on 11/4/13 without a USDA dealer's license. This customer was mailed an application packet on 2/8/12, and the application was subsequently cancelled on 3/18/13. You may not sell any regulated mammals (including, but not limited to, porcupines and other regulated wild or exotic mammals) without a valid USDA dealer's license. If you wish to sell regulated mammals, please contact the Raleigh Office at 919-855-7100 (or go on-line at the Animal Care website) and request another pre license package. An exit interview was conducted on-site via telephone to the customer who was not present at the facility at the time of the visit. The customer was informed that no sales (or exhibition) of regulated mammals can occur without first obtaining a USDA license. The process of applying for, and obtaining a USDA license was discussed with the customer via the telephone. If you wish to apply for a USDA license, complete an application and send it to the address indicated on the application together with an application fee of $10.00 to start the pre license process as discussed over the telephone.
