The exhibitor did not have a completed APHIS Form 7005 with the required information on the acquisition of two kittens being displayed to the public during a Fall festival. Records containing the required information regarding the acquisition of dogs and cats for use in Animal Welfare Act (AWA) regulated activities, such as exhibition, are necessary to ensure that animals are legally acquired and are able to be tracked during exhibition and transport to ensure humane care and use. Each exhibitor shall use Record of Acquisition of Dogs and Cats on Hand (APHIS Form 7005) and Record of Disposition of Dogs and Cats (APHIS Form 7006) to make, keep, and maintain the information required by paragraph (a)(1) of this section.
