The exhibitor did not have the required forms of identification for 2 kittens used in a Fall festival display. A class ``C'' exhibitor is required to identify each kitten or cat under his or her control or on his or her premises by with an official USDA sequentially numbered tag that is kept on the door of the animal's cage or run, a record book containing each animal's tag number, a written description of each animal, the data required in this Section, a clear photograph of each animal, and a duplicate tag that accompanies each dog or cat whenever it leaves the compound or premises. This type of information and identification is required for dogs and cats used in exhibition to ensure that animals were acquired legally and can be tracked individually to ensure humane care in exhibition and transport.
