**Several expired medications were found in the Vet Med Dept lock box during inspection. The following expired medications were noted: -Euthasol solution, Lot #3861, expiration 1/2016, 2 vials -Euthasol solution, Lot #E0153, expiration 7/2016, 1 vial **Expired medications should not be used in the treatment of regulated animals. Expired medications should be either clearly labeled as expired or disposed of in a proper manner. It is the responsibility of the IACUC to ensure that the methods utilized in the prevention and treatment of diseases and/or injuries are in accordance with established standard veterinary practices and the regulatory requirements of the Animal Welfare Act. CORRECTION:IMMEDIATELY THE INSPECTION AND EXIT BRIEFING WAS CONDUCTED WITH FACILITY REPRESENTATIVES.
