The perches and food containers for the 2 blue and gold macaws are attached to the front enclosure wall which is next to the public viewing area. The public could reach the macaws at this location resulting in injury to the animals or to the public. During public exhibition, any animal must be handled so there is minimal risk of harm to the animal and to the public, with sufficient distance and/or barriers between the animal and the general viewing public so as to assure the safety of animals and the public.
